The tattoo, the artist, and the journey
My story
The act of creating has always been a part of me. Drawing, music, and artistic expression have guided me throughout my life—long before I ever knew what I wanted to do professionally. I never studied art formally, but I taught myself how to draw and play music, exploring different forms of expression over the years.
My connection with mathematics led me to study Civil Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico. While I appreciated the logical thinking and precision, I quickly realized that world wasn’t for me. I felt lost, without direction. That’s when tattooing appeared in my life—first as a spontaneous thought, then as a clear path. I took a short course and, unexpectedly, found the perfect canvas for my art: skin.
I started tattooing in 2017, without a defined style. But naturally, I gravitated towards light, fine, and minimalist lines. When I began sharing my work on social media, I noticed something special—this style was almost nonexistent in Portugal. Soon, I was tattooing people from all over the country, including many public figures.
The response was immediate, and step by step, I began developing my identity, creating my own methods, and refining my technique.
Today, every tattoo I create is more than a drawing. It’s a unique and personalized process, where I fully dedicate myself to creating something meaningful for each client. If needed, I’ll draw the 25 de Abril Bridge in a hundred different ways—because I believe everyone deserves a one-of-a-kind piece, made just for them. In my studio, nothing is pre-designed. I prefer to meet the person, have a conversation, and only then begin sketching—letting the energy of the moment guide the creation.
Beyond tattooing, music remains a huge passion of mine. I play in an original band, @mesessobrio.
You can also find my acrylic paintings in the studio, where each piece reflects a part of my artistic journey.
Cinema and photography are also important parts of my life. I currently organize a film night, @sessãodas9, at the cultural association BUS in Lisbon—a space where I can explore and share my love for cinema.
In the end, all these art forms live within me. I believe truth is the foundation of any creation, and I try to reflect that in everything I do. To me, tattooing is more than marking the skin—it’s about capturing an essence, turning a moment into something eternal.
