Tell me your idea

Help me understand your idea so that I can better estimate the cost of the tattoo and the time we’ll spend together.

Whenever possible, try to describe your concept in detail—style, size, placement on the body, and any other information you think is relevant. Finally, attach any references or inspiration images you have in the last field of the form. If you are considering multiple tattoos, please list them in points. If you’re unsure or don’t yet have a clear idea, feel free to share your thoughts—we’ll figure it out together.

As an artist, I value creative freedom. Even if your idea is very specific, I’ll always share my perspective to help you feel as confident as possible about the final decision. We’re not just doing another tattoo—we’re collaborating on something special, authentic, and meaningful.

FAQ

Moisturize your skin with a good hydrating cream or vaseline daily for at least one week before your tattoo session. Well-hydrated skin helps achieve better results.

1. First Days – Protection with Film

  • At the end of the tattoo session, a protective film will be applied.
  • Keep the film on for the first three days.
  • If the film comes off early or you notice signs of an allergic reaction (such as intense redness and/or a burning sensation), contact us immediately.

2. Tattoo Cleaning

  • After removing the film, follow these cleaning guidelines:
  • Wash the area twice a day (morning and evening) during the first week. After that, you can wash it normally during your shower.
  • Use cold or lukewarm water and a neutral soap (fragrance-free and alcohol-free).
  • Wash only with clean hands, do not scrub.
  • Dry gently using a clean towel or absorbent paper, dabbing lightly.
  • Apply a thin layer of moisturizing cream – Nivea Milk is a good option.
  • Avoid harsh shower gels or soaps during the first two weeks.

3. Skin Hydration and Protection

  • Keeping the tattoo hydrated is essential. Use a simple cream without many additives (e.g., Nivea Milk).
  • Always apply a thin layer, just enough to hydrate the skin and avoid clogging pores.
  • Sunscreen should only be applied after 15 days.

4. What to Avoid in the First Few Weeks

  • Direct running water and submersion: Avoid soaking the tattooed area, swimming pools, the sea, and/or saunas for two weeks.
  • Hot and long showers: Avoid long and/or very hot showers. Steam can dilate pores and affect healing.
  • Physical exercise: Avoid workouts or any intense physical activity during the first week, as it may hinder ink retention.
  • Direct sun exposure: Keep the tattoo protected and avoid direct sun exposure for the first two weeks.
  • Tight clothing: Wear light and loose fabrics during the first two weeks.
  • Scratching or picking scabs: Fight the urge, as it can compromise the final result.

Extra Tip
To keep your tattoo looking perfect over the years, moisturize your skin daily and use sunscreen regularly after healing.

• The healing process is key to how your tattoo will look in the end.
• Healing varies from person to person and also depends on the body area.
• While I can’t guarantee perfect healing, as there are many variables outside our control, I always offer a free touch-up session within the first year in case of any issues (like faded lines or spots).
• We’ll get a clearer idea of the final result around 3 weeks after your session.

The studio is located in Anjos, Lisbon, on Palmira street.

We use Dynamic Color Co. (Triple Black)—a vegan, heavy-metal-free ink that is dermatologically tested on humans. It is also suitable for sensitive and atopic-prone skin types.

To date, there are no scientific studies showing risks associated with tattooing during pregnancy or breastfeeding—for either the mother or the baby. Most warnings come from concerns about hygiene or poor studio practices, which can increase infection risk.

At roseprophet, hygiene is a priority. The studio is regularly cleaned, and all materials are sterilized, individually packaged, and only opened in your presence. Miguel’s light and delicate style is also nearly painless, reducing stress on the body.
